The End of the 2,300 Evenings and Mornings
In 2020, the entire world was suddenly interrupted.
Borders closed. Cities emptied. Churches, schools, businesses, and public institutions suspended their normal activity. Governments introduced emergency measures, populations were placed under restrictions, and humanity discovered how quickly the structures it considered permanent could be brought to a halt.
The pandemic was a real global crisis, but within the prophetic timeline it also marked something more.
In my interpretation, 2020 was the year in which the Seventh Trumpet sounded and the period of the 2,300 evenings and mornings of Daniel 8 reached its conclusion.
The prophetic period begins around 281–280 B.C., in the historical environment created by the rise of Alexandria, the translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into Greek, and the gradual entry of Greek philosophical and mythological concepts into the interpretation of revelation.
From that starting point, 2,300 years lead to 2020.
The prophecy does not say that the cleansing of the sanctuary would be completed instantly on the final day of the period. It identifies the moment when the time assigned to the domination and corruption of revelation reaches its limit and the process of restoration can begin.
The sanctuary in Daniel 8 is not a building somewhere in heaven.
It is the place where revelation has been preserved—and where it has also been altered, translated, interpreted, and covered by layers of philosophy, mythology, dogma, and institutional authority.
For more than two millennia, the original testimony had remained inside texts controlled by religious systems that claimed to explain them. Judaism, Christianity, Islam, philosophy, and later secular ideology all constructed their own frameworks around revelation.
The text survived.
Its meaning was buried.
The Seventh Trumpet announces that the period of concealment has reached its end. It does not mean that every human being immediately understands what happened. A trumpet can sound before people recognize its meaning.
That distinction is essential.
In 2020, the prophetic time ended.
In 2024, the prophecy began to be publicly understood and identified.
The pandemic created a visible interruption in the history of the world, but the prophetic significance did not depend upon the virus itself. The event functioned as a universal signal: the old order could no longer be assumed to continue indefinitely.
Human institutions had presented themselves as stable, rational, and in control. Yet within weeks, the entire planet entered uncertainty.
Religious institutions were also exposed.
Buildings closed. Rituals stopped. Clergy could not guarantee protection. Churches that claimed unique access to God were subject to the same fear, confusion, restrictions, and mortality as everyone else.
The crisis demonstrated again that revelation cannot be replaced by buildings, institutions, or claims of authority.
It also created the conditions for a deeper examination of history. People were isolated, ordinary routines were suspended, and access to digital archives, manuscripts, historical sources, and artificial intelligence increasingly changed the way information could be compared and investigated.
The world was entering another intellectual stage.
But the Seventh Trumpet is not simply the celebration of technological progress. It announces judgment upon the systems that had occupied the sanctuary—the systems that spoke in God’s name while placing philosophy, mythology, and institutional dogma above the source.
Daniel 8 states that the sanctuary would be cleansed.
Cleansing means separation.
The original revelation must be separated from what was added to it. The testimony of Moses must be distinguished from later mythology. The testimony of Jesus must be separated from the religion constructed around his death. Revelation must be recovered from the authority of interpreters who claimed that their systems were identical with God’s word.
2020 therefore marks the end of one prophetic period and the opening of another.
The 2,300 evenings and mornings were completed.
The Seventh Trumpet sounded.
The sanctuary was ready to be examined.
But the world had not yet understood what the trumpet announced.
